He attended college at Florida State University where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. Dr. Miranda received his D.M.D. degree from the University of Florida College of Dentistry in 2002. Dr. Miranda is a member of the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, The Spear Institute for Dentistry, Cerec Doctors Academy, and Academy of Osseointegration.
Since graduating Dr. Miranda has completed numerous advanced continuing education courses at the University of Florida College of Dentistry , Nova Southeastern College of Dental Medicine, The Spear Institute for Dentistry, Cerec Doctors Academy, The Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies, The Dawson Academy, The Sclar Center for Advanced Implant Dentistry, International Congress of Oral Implantologist, Academy of Osseointegration, and Misch International Implant Institute.
This enduring commitment for learning through contemporary education has allowed him to treat and restore extensively complex cases to ordinary cases using new, modern techniques and materials including single visit CEREC CAD/CAM crown restorations on both natural teeth and for crowning dental implants. Dr. Miranda is accomplished in all phases of family, esthetic, single visit crowns (CEREC CAD/CAM), and implant dentistry. Dr. Miranda has the ability to place dental implants utilizing a surgical guide that is fabricated via 3D dental cat scan (CBCT). This is integrated with a pre-operative virtual crown placement with CEREC CAD/CAM, allowing the implant to be placed ideally for the final crown. In addition, Dr. Miranda has a passion for cosmetics and is especially talented in cosmetic bonding, esthetic veneers, and cosmetic porcelain crowns and has made cosmetic dentistry affordable for many patients. This integration of dental care with computer and digital technology allows Dr. Miranda to provide the highest level of service to individuals and families.
Dr. Miranda spends his free time with his wife and two children, and enjoys outdoor activities including fishing, swimming, skiing, and playing tennis to stay fit and healthy.
While at University of Miami she was president of the Pre-dental Society and was inducted to the national academic honor societies Alpha Lambda Delta, Alpha Epsilon Delta, Phi Kappa Phi, Phi Beta Kappa and Golden Key National Honor Society and received the Award for Outstanding Senior from the department of Psychology. She received her DMD (Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry) degree from University of Florida College of Dentistry in 2001.
Dr. Ortega is committed to being at the forefront of the industry's most advanced techniques and achieves this through extensive continuing education. She is proficient in the use of CEREC CAD/CAM technology and all aspects of cosmetic dentistry. Her passion for cosmetic dentistry has led her to take extensive course work in orthodontics. She understands the impact that a beautiful smile can have, not only physically, but also psychologically.
